He was talking about the gig at the Greyhound as one of the best gigs he ever went to (and as an NME journo he'd have been to plenty). Anyway, I googled it to check, found this site, and indeed, it was the gig I went to, in 1988 with I, Ludicrous supporting. Fond memories. So happy to have been there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13308969.post-81227212201443806142007-01-12T14:54:00.000-08:002007-01-12T14:54:00.000-08:00Great blog. In the late 1980s I was working at the University of Warwick in Coventry and had the extreme pleasure of catching two great performances by the band.
I lost track somewhat in the 1990s after 'Solid! Behind The Times', an am now tryng to catch up after moving to the USA in 2000. The really elusive album is 'I Could Be Your Guide'. Any hints on where to find a copy for less than the $100 listing on Gemm? I've been checking eBay for a year or so, but the couple of copies I've seen sold for pretty big bucks too. It's a shame to pay a high price knowing that none of the money will go to the musicians.
best wishes, PhilAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
